10/23/2010 Daily Update

Good Day All. My Spirits and Energy are Good. No cravings for carbs, no cheats and no tummy troubles.

Today was filled with a lot of excitement from the air show "Wings Over Houston". It was quite a drive from The Woodlands to Ellington Field, but well worth it. We ended up picking up (DW)s best friend and her family: hubby and two little ones. We all had a Blast. I thought the lunch was going to be Beef and Chicken Fajitas, but it ended up Being Smoked (BBQ) Beef and Chicken.

The meat was OK but tasted a bit salty, so I expect water retention I guess. The Food was the least of anything. They had plenty of Spring Water. It tasted so nice and sweet.
The show was Absolutely Awesome. My favorite part is "TORA TORA TORA" very real like bomb simulations being dropped by Japanese Zeros during this Pearl Harbor reenactment. I just love seeing all the vintage WW II aircraft in action. I was able to see just about any WW II aircraft that you can imagine. My all time favorites are the B-17 Flying Fortress and the P-51 Mustang. You could feel the Heat and concussions form the simulated explosions (smoke and fireballs). OH SO NEAT!!! Our guest were super impressed with the VIP Tent and all the Fare that goes along with it. We sat feet from the taxiway. All the planes returning from their act had to pass us on the way back to their hangers. This provided great photo opps. This venue had all kinds stunt planes, and demonstrations for most modren military aircrat. The Main Event was the USAF "Thunderbirds" WOW what a show of skill. We were there from around 8:30am to 4:30pm. It was mostly partly cloudy with some sun and blue skies.
