I am up a little form my last Weekly Update. Not much at all. I did eat quiet a bit more than usual this weekend with the Meat Up and Birthday dinner back to back. No worries here. I had tons of fun this past weekend in San Diego. I ate like a King on Friday and Saturday.

Friday was the San Diego Mini Meat Up. Teri cooked up a storm.

Gaby, Dave and Teri

Lamb, Kobe Beef Burgers and Chicken Pesto Sausage

Cornish Game Hens

Oxtail ala Teri

Beef Rib Roast

Teri's "Circle of Life" work of Art.

The Best Dish in the House

Life just does not get better than this. We had so much fun talking and eating. Teri and her husband Bob were the best hosts ever. Gaby helped brighten the event with her positive attitude and insight. We were like old friends and family at a holiday event. I swear I felt as I have known these folks all my life.

That Saturday I celebrated my nephew's birthday. He was in town with his wife and son. His son happens to be my godson. The last trip I made to San Diego was for his baptism and birthday.

I was staying with my sister. The whole purpose of the trip was to drop off my Mum to San Diego so she could spend some with my sister and her family. That Sunday we all went to church to celebrate Palm Sunday. After that I we went out to eat. I had Steak and Eggs.

I Tell You What: I ate enough in those three days to last a week. I should be up 3 or 4 pounds lol!!! I did so much is so little time. A jam packed extended weekend indeed.

Have a Great (ZC) Day my Friends and Zero Carb Family. Keep the Faith and Battle On!!!

  1. Sounds like you had a great time, Dave! Good on you to remember to take photos before you eat. I often forget. You're right, with all that delicious food, if you just think about the calories, if you were eating junk you would have put on five or more pounds! On ZC, just a bit of extra muscle weight. LOL!
    Take care,
    Sharon

  2. Well with these photos nobody can confuse a ZeroCarb diet with a ZeroCalorie diet... I do remember the last time you had so much food, your weight went up a little bit and then went down, down, down... as your body will certainly interpret this as an overabundance of food so will probably tend to put your metabolism up. It is nice to live in so great harmony....

There was a release of an excellent LC video on Youtube after a conference by Dr. Vernon (in fact, it is in 5 parts). The quality of the video is bad, science can be difficult to catch at some moments put she has this way to put things, you may feel extremely motivated after watching it. Strangely, even if she advocates a LC diet, she is now on a permanent induction level of carb (under 20 g per day), so very near ZC. Anyway, the results she gets with her patients are just incredible. Here is the link and if you have time, give it a look; it is the most exciting thing I saw in the past months:

Of course, I would never miss an edition of "The Chronicles of David"....
