9/28/2011 - Weekly Update - Time to Move On

Greetings all. My Spirits and Energy Levels are holding steady.

There comes a time in life where things are just not the same. Sort of a breaking point .......... I guess? Is this a good thing? Well .............. I just feel it is part of life. As I grow older and hopefully wiser I ponder upon these things.

I have made a major change in my LIFE. Two letters: ZC.

9/19/2011 - Weekly Update - Tee Time

Howdy Y'all! My Energy and Spirits are Steady Freddy on the Rise!!

Yes, my Energy and Spirits are on the Rise. I feel a nice steady flow of Energy since I switched back to my Fatty Beef Brisket. As far as my Spirits ............. well I have to say they have been pretty sky high all the time. No dips there. I Tell You What: I have move forward to get even more involved in that area. I am getting more involved to serve my Church. I don't know where all this is leading to exactly, but it is exciting to me.

9/13/2011 - Weekly Update - Zero Carb Diet aka WOE

Glorious Day All! My Spirits and Energy Levels are on the Rise!

My O My what does it take to prove Zero Carb is the right Way Of Eating (WOE) y'all? What does it take indeed.

Look at all these self imposed diseases out there:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Sleep apnea
  • Impaired functional status
All of this because of Obesity. Put the pie down; throw out the cake; flush the candy bar. Yes do yourself a favor and ditch these forms of poison. Yes I know because I was on that path just a little more than a year ago and now that I am a Zero Carber and over 100 lbs down I Feel GREAT! Healthy! Happy! Most of all.................................. THANKFUL!!! Thankful Indeed!

9/9/2011 - Supplemental - Things Stay the Same

Greetings Friends. My Spirits and Energy Levels and Great.

I have been eating Ground Fatty Beef Brisket Patties for the past few weeks and I have to say they taste great. Yet I have some bit of bad news to report. After week two or so I began to get hungry later in the day.

My normal meal for several months have been Barbacoa Omelet for my first meal and Oven baked Fatty Beef Brisket. I almost never ever get hungry with these two meals. My analysis is that I am not getting enough Fat. I tried a similar experiment several months ago and the result was about the same. I thought things might be different now that I am near my optimum weight, but at last it has not. At least not for me.

9/3/2011 - Another Response to Pro(ZC)ac: Ribs Indeed

Greetings All. My Spirits and Energy are good.

Pro(ZC)ac, my (ZC) Brother in Arms those ribs sounded Great! Where the Ribs Pork, Beef or some other type?

 BTW thanks for the talking points.

It also reminded me of a dish that I made so long, , long ago. It was at a time that I was going to college and I was a very poor (financially) student. I would hound the sales ads for specials. My Godsend at the time were Chicken Leg Quarters. I could find them on sale from 9 cents to 18 cents a pound. Yes I know the stories of these hormone infested .......... Oh well back to the story: My best friend and I were in the same boat financially. He also was in search of cheap eats. So we would both look for specials, buddy up and shop. We hook up at one apartment or the other to cook. 

By a stroke of luck I accidentally created an Oh So Great recipe. If I remember right:

1 ten pound bag of Chicken leg quarters trimmed slightly
2 cloves of fresh Garlic
1/2 medium yellow onion chopped small
2 T of any kind of oil
2 or 3 T of powdered Cayenne Pepper
