Connor's Zero Carb Diet Journey Day 22

Today was a nice light rainy day. Now I wished I went out yesterday. That's OK, there should be plenty of great days ahead with spring around the corner. I actually got out of the house for awhile to shop. I found some good deals on some ground beef. I feel pretty good today with all the rest from yesterday and a good nights sleep. My energy levels are great. I actually found myself doing some light housework and even made a trip to the attic. Now that's a lot for me. I will be off tomorrow to take care of some personal business. My office is open for president's day, so I had to take a vacation day. Nothing spectacular to report. Just feeling good and adapting well to my new way of eating. No movement on the scale today.

Morning fast: water and coffee

1st meal: 4 eggs, 5 strips of bacon, 6 oz pan sausage, coffee and water

2nd meal: 1 1/2 pounds of rotisserie chicken salad and water

Start weight:
260 lbs

Current weight:
253.5 lbs

  1. I am pleased to observe you want to "move more" without really pushing yourself. Studies have shown insulin has an impact on "motivation to exercise", meaning high insulin causes folks to be lazy, while low insulin (probably your situation after 22 days on Zero Carb) give you motivation to do more.

It is well understandable as insulin is an "anabolic" hormone, which means it stimulates "energy storage and lowers energy expenditure"... this lowering of energy expenditure not only done by slowing the metabolism but also by having an effect on the brain chemistry which demotivate the person to have any physical activity...

And this is only "one of the wonders" of Zero Carb!!!
