1/5/2016 - Hanging Tough, Staying Hungry

Greetings Family Friends and Those who may wonder here by some other avenue!

Hanging Tough, Staying Hungry................

What in the heck does that mean anyway??????

OK: To Me, Myself and I (he's taking crazy again). Yes, yes I am, but in a good if not GREAT way. OK.........back on to subject on hand....subject? On hand? Oh, RIGHT.....Hanging Tough, Staying Hungry means to me that I am a Rocky fan thanks and have a great day!!!

Look-It: those words mean a lot to me, like staying in the game sorta speak. When I started this new Lifestyle change things were touch and go. I knew the basics and went for it. That was back in June of 2010. Wow, where did the time go? I was oh so determined to make this work for me and I did it. Yes, I did with great success. So did I lose the passion? Did I forget where I started oh so many years ago? It could be easy.......right? I mean I had the success and that old life is behind me.........right (part 2)?

No my good if not GREAT folks. I can never forget where I came from, I can't lose the passion that got me where I am today. I must always stay in the "Fight", the "Battle" or call it whatever makes you happy! I must Battle On each and every day. Why? A three letter question that means so much to ME. I don't know about y'all but I have been overweight for so many years that I don't ever want to go back. I live in a world surrounded with the things to make me fail and I refuse to give in aka No Surrender, No Retreat!!!

Like "Rocky", when I started Zero Carb (ZC) I was the underdog. The odds were against me. No one I knew thought I would be successful. Most thought I was crazy............. well I am a little crazy....... Crazy like a Fox!!! Ha! I snuck that one in. See I told you I was a little ............ OK, back on track or not!

Believe me my good people I don't take this Lifestyle for granted. I am thankful everyday for it. I follow the basic mantra (mostly):

1. Eat when hungry

2. Drink when thirsty

3. Two doughnuts a day will keep the doctor at your house full time

Oh, just for get about that third one.

One major thing I found out when I started (ZC) is that I need to stop when I am satisfied. No need to over indulge just for the sake of it. Yes, I could stuff my face silly and not gain or just gain temporarily, but why??? Hey I am just speaking for myself.

Yet, for those seeking to lose weight: My little (2) two cents: follow rule #1 and #2 above and stop eating when you are satisfied. That's how I did it. Will it work for you? I think so, but everyone has to know their own limitations. Like I wrote yesterday "Listen to your Body". That's it for today. Tomorrow I will post another episode of "Blast from the Past: DAY 13 of my epic weight loss Journey through ZERO CARB as I do every other day. Epic??? Well I had to HAM it up a little. Hahaha!!! Hmm, Ham roll ups with a nice mayo with a hint of garlic and a couple of chunks of Zero Carb Cheese and some.............. Sorry, I just got carried away!

Have a great day my Family and Friends. Battles are won daily, yet the War still rages on. Battle On!!!

(ZC)er Eye of the TIGER

Cheers,

Dave

  1. I am new to zero carb and I find your blog very useful. I wish you had a section dedicated to the basics. You have an amazing story. I have been reading your series and like the way you give your reflection about what you were doing at the time of the original post.
