I hope y'all are enjoying the series. Here’s your next installment of “Blast from the Past”:
Original Stardate: 7/13/2010
My food consumption was off today. I usually don’t get hungry until about 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM or a little later. Then I get again hungry around 2 :00 PM. Today I was hungry in the morning for the first time on (ZC). I’m sure it has to do with my lack of rest last night. I don’t think it had to do with the yard work yesterday. I will sure go to sleep early tonight. I think that will get me back on track.
I passed by the break room this afternoon and it reeked of Ramen noodle soup. It made me nauseous. I almost had to dry heave. I have a pretty strong constitution, but smells have always bothered me, but not to this extent. The smell of any kind of food never gave me problems unless it was spoiled beyond belief.
I am a little behind on my water. I opened my fourth liter just a few minutes ago. By now all four liters would be gone. I think I just want to go to sleep and start this day over again lol.

Today marks the end of week 3 that I have been on (ZC). My spirits are high starting my 4th week of (ZC)!!!!!! No carb cravings so far. On LC and VLC, I would be struggling at this point with endless carb cravings. I did walk by our file room office and the aroma of the coffee station did spike my interests. I always thought coffee smells better than it tastes. No big deal. By the time I entered my office (next door) the interest was gone.
I decided not to make any more (ZC) recipes at this time. The creativeness in me works a million miles a minute thinking of variations of (ZC) food that I can create. Although I find it interesting, I need to refocus my efforts to adjusting to the (ZC) lifestyle. After I get to where I need to be, I may revisit that area. So, no more Oopsie Rolls, (ZC) Moussaka or anything else other than the basic meat (Steak, GB and H20) for now. I just bought some Mascarpone cheese and was planning to make Prosciutto Roll-ups. I guess DW can help me out in that department.
I stayed up way too late on the forum reading last night. I wake up between 4:15 AM-4:30 AM M-F (my work week). This place can get addictive. Needless to say I did not get enough rest (my fault).

OK three weeks down and it looks like I have lost 12.5 lbs. No too shabby if I should say so myself. At this point I am still on the H20 kick (Jeez). Let’s see my hunger was off….what could it be… I bet it was the Moussaka. OK, at this point this (ZC) rookie understood “No more (ZC) recipes” He will stick to the basics. Good for him or should I say GREAT for me! Let’s face it sometimes “Rookies” or “Newbies” make it hard for themselves needlessly. I started down that path but at least at this point I “Pulled the Reins” or as they say in Texas I “Cowboy-ed UP”. Will I make needless mistakes in the future??? Let’s see together on the next episode of the “Life and Times of a (ZC)er: a legend in his own MIND” Hahaha!!!
OK that was too much fun. It is nice to look back at your past and be proud of good decisions and poke a little fun at it too.
