  2. Hey "wanna be", does that mean you are trying Zero Carb? or do you wanna? If so the sooner the better. You have to be ready all the way around: Mind, Body and Soul. Hey that's just my opinion, but anyway good luck with your endeavors. Keep the Faith!!!

  6. Howdy Bill, your the good man Bill, but thanks all the same. Great for you being on Zero Carb for over a year. Hey I can't wait to say that. It won't be too long.

Now as far as ZIOH ........ I will never make negative comments about the forum. That is were I got my start and I am still a proud member there. I think the drama is not unlike a family. So that is what I think and that is the way I see it. I have tons of Zero Carb family members over there. So when you read my posts that end: "my Zero Carb Family" I am talking about all of them.

So as you can see I address them almost everyday here at my blog.

I am glad that you read my journal there and it appears that you may have continued here.

Live Long and Stay Strong my Zero Carb Brother!!!

  7. You the man Dave. I have enjoyed this blog from it's start. I also followed you on the forum. Thank you for all you do and all you are.

I get strength from your words. You are inspirational. Please don't ever stop. Take a break now and then but always come back.

I enjoy the simple way you put things and the way you have come to terms with past issues.

  8. Hi Friend, I did not know what to expect when I put this "Open Comments" page up. I did not expect to be praised. It can be embarrassing and of course it is always humbling. I plan to to keep on keeping on my Friend.

  9. Dave I have been reading your blog almost from the start. I have followed your forum journal and have read through the archives. Your words bring hope to those of us that need encouragement and strength. I have read over and over members of your forum and people that comment on this blog thank you for your words of wisdom and faith.

I do not have to lose weight. I use zero carb for health issues. It makes me feel what you describe as a feeling of wellbeing. You are right to say that words can not truly describe your feelings, because it can not describe mine.

There are a lot of great inspiring members at my forum and you would make a great addition. There are many former members of forum that are members there. I believe that there are a few current members at both. So I don't see any conflicts.

I just want to say thank you for keeping this place alive. I will stand with in in the battle anytime.

  11. Dave where do you get all of your insight on zero carb? Man i have to admit you stay focused to the point on most if not all your posts or comments. Other places I have read at are more like social networks, yet they claim to be zero carb.

I just want to thank you for all the effort that you put in. I would have a hard time posting everyday about things zero carb. I am sure that the people that stop by and read appreciate you.

  12. Hey Bill, thank you for your nice comments. Where do I get my insight.... well I dunno. I just post from the Heart. Some folks may think that strange or weird. I can't just make up stuff ya know. I have to chronicle my Journey through Zero Carb as it happens.

I am not here to judge other sites on the web that are Zero Carb or lean towards Zero Carb. I am here strictly to journal my Journey through Zero Carb as it really happens and not catered to someone else's vision of what should and should not be included in MY "true" journey. NO sir not me. Thus this blog.

Further more I don't see anything wrong with sites wanting to do social networking. You have got to admit that there are far and few of us in this Carb Laden world and it is good to know you are not the only one out there. IMO I feel as long as we respect each other go ahead and network.

Bill believe me I try my best to keep this place as up to date as possible. Keep in the Fight and Battle On!!!

  13. Dave what an amazing story you tell of your journey. I came across your journal awhile back and got hooked on it. I really enjoy your wit. You shine your positive spin to most things in a good way, I know if I need encouragement I come here and read,

I have struggled with weight issues most my life. I have followed your example for the last three months and have lost 18 pounds. I feel good and I figure I have about 45 more pounds to go. Thank you very much. I feel that you don't realize how much this blog is appreciated.

  14. Hi Simon, thank you. 18 pounds down. Good for you. I try to be as positive as I can. So many folks want to be negative, rather it's on purpose or not. I make an honest effort to look on the bright side of things. Welcome Simon to my little Blog and feel free to let us know how your journey is progressing. Keep in the Fight and Battle On!!!

  15. I tried to join as a follower of this blog, but I was having trouble. Has anyone else had trouble with that? Anyway David my name is John and I like many others here have been following your journey since it started on zioh. I find your strength and openness to life refreshing. You bring back an old fashion no nonsense way of thinking. I have also enjoyed reading the comments posted by Prozac. They are informative and gives a balance to this blog. You should ask her(?) to have membership rights to this blog so that she (?) can post those wonderful insightful tidbits of information. Just a thought. Like others have said thank you.

  16. Hi John thanks for your comments. I don't know why you would have trouble signing up. I did have some comments that posting here can be difficult with certain browsers. Try to clear your cookies and try again.

As far as Pro(ZC)ac is concerned.......well I think that is a great idea. I just don't know if Pro(ZC)ac has the time or even wants to go down that path. Pro(ZC)ac has been a valuable ally on this blog a I appreciate all the insight provided. I am hip to signing on Pro(ZC)ac as a "Member" in which they have rights to post regular posts not just comments. I used to think that I could sign up to 20 members but I found out I can sign up to 100.

Thanks again for the comments and suggestions. Battle on John!!!

  17. It's a wonder what you did with this blog. I have been to a lot of blogs and this one is really nice. I have been reading here for a while. I am vlc and I am thinking about going zc and you have inspired me to do so. Thanks

  18. Hi Mary. Thank you. I hope you have found some useful bits and pieces here. It is really just my story. I don't go into too much detail on how to go Zero Carb except for the "core" Meat, Water and Fat. It is too easy to try to make it complicated. Hey let me know when you take that next step to Zero Carb. Don't wait too long. Keep the Faith!!!

  19. Nice site David. I am new to zero carb. I have been on it for 3 months and have lost 21 pounds. I feel good and have lots of energy too. I have been reading through your achieved posts and find your encouraging and inspirational. You have a drive and dedication that serves as a great example to all. You focus on the subject with a fun and almost spiritual outlook. Thank you for this blog and all you put into it to keep it going.

  20. Hey man I really dig this place. zero carb is the way I have been eating for almost 15 years. I never really liked carbs. They made me feel sluggish and tired. I went vlc and then zc in short span of time. The less carbs I ate the better I felt. It did not take long to understand. Keep the cool site churning Dave. Nice writing style.

  24. Do you count calories?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi Anonymous, No. I do not count calories. It is not important with this Way of Eating. Why? Because I listen to my body and obey. I Eat when I am hungry only. I Stop when I am "Satisfied". AHHH here is the trick or should I say "KEY". Zero Carb fills you up quick. The meat and fat don't take long to fill you up. Please don't count your calories. I weighed my food to see how much did it take to make me satisfied across the board. For me it was scientific. It helped me prepare meals ahead of time and freeze them. I knew that the amount would satisfy me. Thanks for stopping by. Great question.

    Cheers,

    Dave
